The funding, provided through HUD's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, will offer up to $150,000 to eligible homeowners whose primary residence was destroyed or severely damaged following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The funding is part of $6.2 billion in CDBG assistance that Jackson allocated to Louisiana in January to assist the state in its long-term recovery efforts.
