CORPORATE EXCELLENCE: Fannie Mae Chairman and CEO Franklin Raines (r) accepts the Ron Brown Award for Corporate Leadership on behalf of Fannie Mae from Donald Evans, Secretary of Commerce in Washington, D.C. The 2002-2003 winners of the Ron Brown Award, the only presidential award that honors companies for outstanding achievement in employee and community relations, were Fannie Mae and Cisco Systems, Inc. Fannie Mae is a private, shareholder-owned corporation that supplies capital to mortgage lenders in support of the nation's low-income housing market.
