EID-Video - Division News, Photography Tips & More! - Brief Article

PSA Journal,  June, 2002  by Christine E. Haycock

Have you gotten your video for the PSA International ready yet? If not, you should get to work. We expect lots of new entries this year. The deadline, July 27th, is approaching rapidly. The entry information was printed in the March issue of the PSA Journal. If you need the forms, contact James Reynolds, 421 Hackman Lane, St. Louis, MO 63141-6903; jamesareynolds@earthlink.net.

The videos fall into many categories such as documentary, travel, family, stories, etc., so there is a wide choice of subject matter. If you are not certain how to approach a certain subject, look under Services and Activities in the April PSA Journal issue under EID-Video for either personal evaluation, study videos, etc. We are delighted to help you!

Don't forget to take your camcorder with you on vacation. It is always fun to look back on those fun-filled summer days when the snow is falling outside! You might even record a subject worthy of submission to the video competition. Plan ahead, if possible, for the subject matter you want to record: Mary's first swimming lesson, Johnnie's 4th of July winning race, or that beautiful trip to the Grand Canyon! Get some literature about where you are going and plan the best time to visit a specific location so the light is right. And charge those batteries!
