Summer contest keeps Lincoln CC busy

PSA Journal,  Oct, 2004  by Matt Daura

Lincoln Camera Club (NE) members were kept busy during the summer shooting pictures for a Summer Photo Contest. For the contest, each member was responsible for purchasing their own film and having it processed. Either black & white or color film could be used.

Apparently digital images could be submitted too, as the rules state the images could be converted to grayscale if desired, but digital images could not be manipulated.

Each member was given a list of 12 subjects to photograph over a two month's period. At the end of that, each could submit one 4" x 6" print for each of the 12 subjects for judging. Judging was carried out by the entire membership.

A $5 fee by each participant went to pay for monetary prizes for first, second, and third best photos overall. In addition, the local WalMart Photo Center provided gift certificates to the winners.
