People you should know in the PPD

Featured this month is Tom Hady, PPSA. Tom has been Award of Merit Director for Monochrome Prints (Star Ratings Director) for PPD since January of 2003. He has also served the PSA as Area Representative and also serves as a Travel Aide for the Washington, DC area. He is a frequent judge for local photographic clubs in the DC area and for several international exhibitions. He has judged for the POM and particularly likes this assignment as it gives him time to study each print rather than having to make hasty decisions in the short viewing time allowed in international exhibitions. His photographic history includes earning five stars in monochrome prints, two stars in color prints and three stars in color slides. He is a South Dakotan by birth, but grew up mostly in Minnesota and Wisconsin and received his B.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. Tom and his wife, Marilyn, enjoy traveling, and a new activity the last couple of years has been turning photographs from their travels into digital slide lectures for local organizations.
