Interview, April, 2000 by Jessica Winters
Directed by Mike Figgis
Given Figgis's recent track record, his newfound, behind-the-curve posture as a digital-video maverick smacks a bit of desperation, though his L.A.-based project sounds appealingly unhinged: ninety-three minutes of one continuous take, with the screen quartered so that shots from four cameras can be viewed simultaneously. With a sprawling cast that includes Salma Hayek, Stellan Skarsgard, and Holly Hunter, hopefully Figgis will at least deliver an interesting disaster.
