The Big Kahuna. - Review - movie review
Interview, April, 2000 by Graham Fuller
Directed by John Swanbeck
A gentler, more reflective Glengarry Glen Ross, this drama about three salesmen who put on a cut-rate reception in a hotel suite in the forlorn hope of landing a big account spirals seamlessly into a meditation on the meaning of life. There's terrific rapport among Danny DeVito as the jaded account executive whose best days are over, Kevin Spacey as his aggressive colleague, and Peter Facinelli as the rookie; the result is an object lesson in how to make a play--Hospitality Suite, by Roger Rueff, who did the adaptation--work onscreen without sacrificing its intimacy.
