They are the grandmothers of the WWF, literally, this league of lady wrestlers who fought to legalize their sport in areas where ordinances kept them from the ring. Now, decades later, the women have regrouped to narrate grainy photographs and period television footage: a flurry of dropkicking, hair pulling, and eye gouging. The result is a little haphazard, however. Overlapping stories never really add up, and a dramatic rivalry never really pays off; but the women themselves are worth the price of admission.
