Rollin', rollin', rollin' keep those legs a rollin'
USA Today (Society for the Advancement of Education), Nov, 2007
One of the best ways to ensure success--and longevity--in any fitness program is to select activities you enjoy. Better still is to pick something the entire family loves. Not only does it bring everyone together, but all of you will benefit from a healthier lifestyle. A perfect example of a sport both children and adults can get enthusiastic about is in-line skating.
Much easier on your joints than running, inline skating provides excellent aerobic benefits, and yields stronger muscles. The truth is, when we strap on our Rollerblades, we have fun--it doesn't feel like exercise.

The latest model from the Hamilton, N.J., company is the Marathon Carbon Series. Designed to be thinner and lighter than its predecessors, this skate features an ultra-lightweight liner with anatomical padding for improved comfort without sacrificing power transfer, a carbon fiber shell, and precise, performance-orientated fit. The closure uses a self-ratcheting cuff, 45[degrees] powerstrap, and laces. It's equipped with 100 mm wheels to roll smoothly over bumps and cracks.
The men's skate is fire-red, while the women's is white and gold. Both are priced at $299. For more information on this trailblazing company--begun by two hockey playing Minnesota brothers looking for a way to train in the off-season--and its products, visit www.rollerbladeusa.com.
