Sharing a pizza with Homer Simpson
The next time you whip up a pizza for lunch with the kids, or have some friends over for a homemade pie while watching the ball game--and by homemade we mean get the dough anyway you need to, from your favorite takeout joint, frozen, ready-made, or even from one of those fundraising kits--make sure you have the right tools to slice it.
Up until now, the fun in making pizza always has been in adding the toppings. You truly can make it any way you want, sprinkling whatever you please while anticipating the first mouth-watering bite. Now, that first slice comes with a chuckle as our Simpsons Talking Pizza Cutter ($9.95) from Pacific Direct, Oulsbo, Wash., rolls across the pie. Spouting four "Homerisms," including "Hmmm, pizza" and the character singing "That's Amore" off, key, we can't help but laugh as we hear Homer Simpson exclaim his love of pizza every time we cut a slice.
Both fun and functional, the stainless steel cutting wheel is removable for cleaning, and the plastic handle houses replaceable, long-life batteries. After all these years, Homer still makes us laugh. For more information, visit www.collectiblegadgets.com.
