Dixie dishes decide the race
USA Today (Society for the Advancement of Education), Jan, 2007
What piles up faster: dirty dishes or dirty laundry? That's a tough one, especially at our house, where four hungry kids usually are doing one of two things--chowing down or finding new ways to get dirty (or sometimes both at the same time). After much thought and a number of different measuring techniques, we'd have to call it a dead heat. However, we look to have found a tie-breaker in Dixie Paper Products. Actually, paper seems a misnomer, as the company's wide assortment of dishes, bowls, and cups are quite sturdy (and thankfully not made of styrofoam or some equally strong, but eco-unfriendly, material) and convenient (simply throw them away when done; we'll talk about the kitchen garbage situation another time).
Dixie, however, is about more than just paper plates. With the cooler weather having arrived and the desire to get cozy upon us, why not treat yourself to a Dixie Movie Night? Grab some paper plates and cups, microwave popcorn, polar fleece blanket, and pop in a DVD (one of the Christmas classics, please; we want to hang onto the holidays as long as possible). So, get under the blanket with the kids, eat the delicious popcorn, and enjoy the movie. And just think--you don't have to clean up afterwards.
