Next food fight—shoot marshmallows

USA Today (Society for the Advancement of Education),  March, 2006

Whether in hot cocoa, s'mores, or even Fluffernutter, kids love marshmallows. Surely, we've all witnessed youngsters get into a good natured marshmallow fight. It starts with one innocent toss and, the next thing you know, the treats are flying everywhere.

Capitalizing on that idea, the Marshmallow Fun Company, Tallahassee, Fla., has created the Marshmallow Shooter ($24.95). Uniquely designed to propel mini-marshmallows or special soft foam pellets more than 30 feet, the Marshmallow Shooter was developed with fun and safety in mind--as such, it will not shoot hard objects like sticks or rocks.

Users simply fill the pump-action magazine with the supplied pellets or up to 25 mini-marshmallows, take aim, and start pumping. The harmless ammunition rapidly flies through the air, as children practice on targets and cheer as they hit their mark.
