Invisible card games provide visible fun

USA Today (Society for the Advancement of Education),  March, 2006

For a twist on classic card games, Kikkerland Design Inc., New York, N.Y., has revamped the characters in Old Maid, Go Fish, and Crazy 8's. Winning an AIGA Design Award for the redesign of these games, Adam and Gabrielle Lewin have made the decks appealing to adults as well as fun for children.

Invisible Old Maid now contains characters rooted in the quirks and characteristics of 21st century daily life, such as Dot Com Darius and Unibrow Unis. Invisible Crazy 8's focuses on the mood swings of a "mad" cow, with tongue-in-cheek humor, irony, and witticism. Invisible Go Fish is designed from a formalist's perspective, with textile patterns and silhouettes of fish.

These decks are available at many museum gift shops and Bed, Bath & Beyond stores.
