Nicktoons Unite on THQ video games

USA Today (Society for the Advancement of Education),  Jan, 2006

Stars from some of the most popular Nickelodeon TV shows come to life in the Nicktoons Unite! video game from THQ, Agoura Hills, Calif. It's good versus evil in this one- to four-player cooperative play, 15-level game where Professor Calamitous has pulled together Plankton, Vlad, and Crocker to wreak havoc throughout Retroville, Amity Park, Dimmsdale, and Bikini Bottom in an attempt to take over the world. Jimmy Neutron, Timmy Turner, Danny Phantom, and SpongeBob SquarePants combine their powers to take out The Evil Syndicate, along with the devastating Doomsday device. Rated E for Everyone.

In Lights, Camera, Pants!, locals are desperate to impress the talent scouts for a role in a special episode of "The New Adventures of Mermaidman and Barnacleboy," which is being filmed in Bikini Bottom. Up to four players engage in cooperative and competitive play as they compete for 10 different roles, including that of the coveted part of super villain. Gamers can play as SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, Squidward, Mr. Krabs, and Plankton, and battle with or against their friends through 30 levels of madness. The three game modes--Story, Quick Game, and D.I.Y. Tournaments--provide an endless variety of play and the cross-game save system will unlock special levels, characters, and cheats across other Nickelodeon video games. Rated E for Everyone.

You can't argue with the popularity of "The Incredibles." The action/adventure movie has been enjoyed by kids and adults alike. Now, continuing where the movie left off is The Incredibles: Rise of The Underminer. This two-player game lets you play as Mr. Incredible or Frozone, with the ability to change characters at any point in the game, and takes the story beyond the movie. With the nefarious Underminer and his legion of robots bent on taking over the world of the Incredibles, the Supers must journey underground to confront the minions and stop the diabolical plot to pollute the major cities of the world. The developers worked closely with Pixar to keep the game true to the characters in the movie and features original music by the composer of "The Incredibles." Rated E10+ for Everyone 10 and older.

Based on the popular line of fashion dolls, Bratz Rock Angels puts fans in the Bratz World of fashion and adventure. Garners can play as Jade, Cloe, Sasha, and Yasmin as they start their own magazine and travel the world in search of the perfect scoop. Fully customizable, this game features shopping, fashion, make-up, and accessories. Rated E for Everyone.

Each of these games is available across multiple platforms and is priced, where available, at $39.99 for Playstation 2, Xbox, and GameCube, $29.99 for GameBoy Advance, and $19.99 for the PC. Visit www.thq.com for more information.
