'Tiz nobler to "Eat Mor Chikin"

USA Today (Society for the Advancement of Education),  Jan, 2006

The cows--more specifically, the "Eat Mor Chikin" Chick-fil-A Cows--are back for a ninth straight year in a Renaissance-themed calendar called "Cows in Shining Armor." Donning shields and regal coats of arms, the bovines take on the personas--or is that cowsonas?--of some of history's most famous Medieval legends. Angus Kahn, Charbroilemagne, Boldhoof, and Moolius Caesar are a few of the heroic beefers featured on the monthly calendar pages leading revolutions, attempting rescues, and defending honor. For instance, in July, "much myth and legend surroundeth the tale (and tail) of King Art-Herd, defender of Graze Britain against the barbarian burger hordes"

Since Chick-fil-A, Inc.--the nation's second-largest, quick-service chicken restaurant chain--introduced the cow calendar as a marketing ploy, its popularity has skyrocketed. After a run of 337,000 copies the first year, production reached a burgeoning 1,500,000 for 2006.
