Now here's a neat! diaper disposal system

USA Today (Society for the Advancement of Education),  Sept, 2005

There's nothing that compares to the smell of a freshly-bathed baby. The sweet scents of their shampoo, body wash, and lotions remind us of their newness and innocence. Their diapers, on the other hand, are another story. Parents forever are trying to figure the best and most convenient way to keep the odors out. We've tried a variety of remedies: numerous diaper pails; individually wrapping them in powder-scented bags; and actually dragging the nastier ones outside to the trash every time the baby needs a change. Finally, we found a better way.

The neat! Diaper Disposal System ($24.99) by Safety 1st, distributed by the Dorel Juvenile Group, Columbus, Ind., offers true odor-free protection. Simply lift the handle, push the diaper through the upper clamp, and then push the handle back down. This sends the offensive material through a second clamp and into a seven-layer odor seal bag which locks away germs as well as foul odors. The diaper system holds approximately 30 diapers before needing to be emptied.

There is a built-in bag cutter in the lower chamber to make for simple changes and the refill cartridge ($4.99) is good for about four pails worth of diapers.
