Kool-Aid Freeze Factory

USA Today (Society for the Advancement of Education),  July, 2005

It's such a simple idea: Kids love Kool-Aid, frozen treats, and creating their own concoctions. Put them all together and you've got the Kool-Aid Freeze Factory from Wham-O, Emeryville, Calif.---a fun way to enjoy ice pops and slushies in minutes.

Children have a ball making treats with this clever hand-operated machine because there is an immediate payoff. For frozen Kool-Aid bars, just pour the drink into popsicle holders, and place into a bowl containing a mixture of salt and ice water. After a few minutes of turning the crank, youngsters are overjoyed to remove the frozen sensations. Another choice is to freeze Kool-Aid in the Kool Kube tray and then crush using the slushy attachment.

The Freeze Factory ($14.99), which comes with three pop sticks and molds, pop holder bowl, Kool Kube tray, cube crusher, Kool-Aid Man cup, straw-spoon, and a drink mix packet, is available at major retailers. Keeping cool indoors has never tasted so good.
