> Children living on pig farms where antibiotics are added to feed have a significantly higher prevalence of asthma, a University of Iowa, Iowa City, study states. In addition to the swine risk, several "early life events," including premature birth, a respiratory infection under age three, high-risk birth, male gender, and family history of allergic disease were associated with asthma.
