> Abolition 2000, a network of over 2,000 organizations in more than 90 countries working for a global treaty to eliminate nuclear weapons, has launched a campaign called "Abolition Now!"--which is asking mayors worldwide to sign a statement adopted by the U.S. Conference of Mayors that calls upon heads of state to commence negotiations on the elimination of nuclear weapons at the 2005 Review Conference for the Non-Proliferation Treaty.
