Duncan Campbell, chief of staff for Homeland Security

USA Today (Society for the Advancement of Education),  Dec, 2004

Duncan Campbell, chief of staff for Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge, is urging colleges and universities to participate in "Ready Campus," a workshop that enlists campus resources and volunteers and trains students to be future emergency management leaders. The initiative seeks to enlist the use of cam pus housing, food services, communication centers, medical facilities, and counseling services during a crisis.

It will provide training for volunteer faculty and staff in nursing, chemistry, psychology, communications, information technology, and other fields.
