A master view of times gone by

USA Today (Society for the Advancement of Education),  Nov, 2004

Some items--deservedly so--seemingly have been around forever, like, for instance, View-Master, which this year enjoys its 65th anniversary. To mark the occasion, Fisher-Price,. East Aurora, N.Y., has issued a View-Master 65th Anniversary Box Set and Retro Time Capsule Assortment.

The Box Set ($19.99) brings back the rich history of our culture through the 3-D "eyes" of this unique product. The set features a specially decorated classic viewer and eight reels, one for each decade of View-Master's existence. They commemorate some of the most popular people, places, and events that occurred over the past 65 years, including the Apollo Moon Landing, Disneyland, and Indiana Jones. It all comes packaged in a unique collector's box.

The Time Capsule ($9.99) allows parents to take their kids back in time with nostalgic viewers and reels. Each capsule has a retro design and three reels acknowledging favorite characters of the past: The Flintstones, Jetsons, and Smurfs.
