X-Games marks the spot

USA Today (Society for the Advancement of Education),  Sept, 2004

They once were used just by hikers and campers, or those longhaired college grads determined to trek across Europe to "find" themselves. Then schoolkids jumped on the bandwagon. Now, even businessmen aren't above toting around backpacks. Ogio International, Inc., Bluffdale, Utah, however, isn't after the latter crowd with its Street, Power & Skate lines. The gear bag manufacturer has unleashed a student pack collection that reaches students where they live--in the action sports world. (It's true; X-Games sports like in-line skating, BMX biking, wakeboarding, skateboarding, and snowboarding now rule the day.)

Each bag includes a fleece-lined, drop-in MP3 player pocket with headphone exit port; external laptop organizing pockets; heavy-duty padded shoulder straps; and plenty of room for books. Styles include the $89.99 Metro (with neoprene grab handle), $79.99 Fugitive (constructed from rhinopoly), $69.99 Sector-Z (yoke-style shoulder pads and water bottle sleeves), $59.99 Cooper (six-pocket traditional look), and $54.99 Filter (stitch-quilted accents and side-mesh pocket). Ogio gear bags are available in sporting goods stores and major retail outlets.
