Cooling off the fury of sun glare
USA Today (Society for the Advancement of Education), July, 2004
The first-ever, polycarbonate, photochromatic, polarized sunglass lens has been introduced by Serengeti Eyewear, Overland Park, Kan. The new lightweight PolarMax line features technology in which the "shading"--in this case, brown or Cool Photo Grey--literally is injected into the lens; so there's no scratching off or the resultant distortion. These premium antireflective coatings are available with three designer frames: Cirro ($149.99), Alto ($179.99), and Stratus ($199.99).
Cirro comes in Shiny Black or Tortoise. The nylon frame features megol nose pads and temple tips for an extra-secure fit--whether you're playing sports or are out on the water. The Alto, a stainless steel frame, and Stratus, a titanium-frame style, are offered in Henna and Gun-metal.
This fine eyewear is available at sunglass specialty stores and other fine optical retailers. To find the nearest dealer, call 888-838-1449 or hit the Internet at www.serengetieyewear.com.
