Moving Muppets - What's new? Holiday gifts galore - from Paradise Toys - Brief Article

USA Today (Society for the Advancement of Education),  Nov, 2002

Far less macho, though equally entertaining, are the articulated Muppets characters ($8.99 each) from Palisades Toys, Ellicott City, Md., designed to be played with or collected, depending on the youngster's bent. The first four are just hitting the market, with a couple of dozen more scheduled for a later launch, so if your favorite Muppet isn't included, don't despair. He, she, or it will show up eventually.

As might be expected, Kermit and Miss Piggy head the list, the affable frog coming with a personalized coffee cup and a TV camera to salute the 25th anniversary of "The Muppet Show." The high-maintenance porcine diva, in evening gown and elbow-length opera gloves, has a dressing room table and mirror to guarantee that she will be constantly glamorous. The other two characters available are perhaps unexpected, leading one to believe that the big guns like Fozzie Bear, Bert and Ernie, Big Bird, etc. will be parceled out as each new set is introduced. Dr. Bunsen Honeydew shows up accompanied by his invention, Robot Rabbit, and a Muppet Labs notebook, while the demoniacal musician Dr. Teeth has his keyboard and keyboard stand.
