Shower time - What's New? - Kidorable rain coats from ZM International, Inc., - Brief Article
USA Today (Society for the Advancement of Education), May, 2002
Rainy days no longer have to mean keeping your youngster indoors, thanks to Kidorable rain coats from ZM International, Inc., Chicago, Ill. These delightful garments are both amusing and practical, made of rugged waterproof vinyl with snap closings and an elasticized hood to fit snugly around the head and prevent water from running down the child's neck. Colorfully designed in green frog, pink cat, purple butterfly, red ladybug, and yellow bee patterns, they are guaranteed to appeal to the fashionable younger set. Our particular favorite is the blue dog model (distinctly reminiscent of the star of "Blue's Clues") with its paw-print pockets and bone-like covers for the snaps. Dark and light blue vinyl with red trim on the sleeves and pockets definitely make a fashion statement. The coats retail for $27 at clothing, museum, and toy stores, and can be accessorized with matching umbrellas ($11.50) and boots ($19.50).
ZM also offers a set of junior-sized wooden hangers to help kids learn how to keep their rooms neat--fat chance! Hangers On are hand-carved and painted in bright sports, clowns, animals, butterflies, and transportation motifs. The latter are particularly appealing, depicting a school bus, ocean liner, fire engine, airplane, taxi, and train. A set of six retails for a suggested $14.50 at children's specialty stores.
