Producing garb - What's New? - Clear Channel Entertainment's clothing from The Producers - Brief Article

USA Today (Society for the Advancement of Education),  May, 2002

On Apr. 19, 2001, "The Producers" opened on Broadway and became one of the greatest phenomenons in theatrical history, going on to capture an unprecedented 12 Tony Awards and commanding the highest ticket prices ever, with some seats selling for $480. On March 17, 2002, Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick, its stars, gave their final performances, though the show is likely to continue to run for years in New York and around the world. For those who were not fortunate enough to catch the original leads, as well as those who were able to capture the rare tickets, there is a chance to don a memory or two.

Thanks to Clear Channel Entertainment, North Miami, Fla., you can sport various items of clothing saluting the smash hit. For example, a long-sleeve, V-neck sweatshirt ($40) is emblazoned with "The Producers" in gold (as in box office) letters and "the new Mel Brooks musical" in white on black cotton and polyester. A matching baseball cap ($20) completes the ensemble. Those of you who prefer T-shirts can choose between "Bialystock & Bloom," the legendary producing team, and "When You Got It, Flaunt It," the theme song of Ulla, the voluptuous secretary/would-be actress. Each is imprinted in bold white letters on a black T for $20 apiece.

"The Producers" wear, along with souvenirs of other Broadway musicals, can be ordered from joan-finkelstein @clearchannel.com or by calling 1-888-604-7991 Ext. 527.
