Mushrooms - Noteworthy - toxicology - Brief Article

USA Today (Society for the Advancement of Education),  April, 2002

> Mushrooms that sprout up in lawns following heavy rains may be deadly, warns Brett Roth, assistant professor of emergency medicine, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. "Consider all mushrooms toxics," he recommends. "Appreciate their beauty, but do not eat them." While most toxic varieties can cause an upset stomach, some can trigger hallucinations, kidney damage, or bizarre neurological symptoms.
