The Pasadena-based Flintridge Foundation recently gave its biennial awards for 2005-06 to five artists from California and five from Oregon and Washington. The $25,000 prizes are given to individuals who have maintained a high level of work for 20 years but are not nationally known. They are Adela Akers, Judy Cooke, Dewey Crumpler, Robbert Flick, Lauren Grossman, Ferne Jacobs, Heather Dew Oaksen, Ben Sakoguchi, Michael C.

Spafford and Jamie Walker.
