The Bowers Museum in Santa Ana, Calif., opened its new Dorothy and Donald Kennedy Wing on Feb. 18

Art in America,  March, 2007

The Bowers Museum in Santa Ana, Calif., opened its new Dorothy and Donald Kennedy Wing on Feb. 18. Designed by the California-based firm Robert R. Coffee Architect and Associates, the $15-million, 30,000-square-foot expansion doubles the museum's exhibition space. The project encompasses two 5,000-square-foot galleries for temporary exhibitions, an atrium and a 300-seat auditorium.

Inaugural shows include "Ansel Adams: Classic Images" [through May 13] and "Treasures from Shanghai: 5000 Years of Chinese Art and Culture," featuring objects from the Shanghai Museum [through Aug. 19].
