Brooklyn Museum - Brief Article
Art in America, March, 2002 by Stephanie Cash, David Ebony
> In mid-January the Brooklyn useum caused a furor in the surrounding community by chopping down 42 cherry trees that lined the front of its building. The move is part of the first phase of the $55-million renovation project designed by James Polshek [see "Front Page," Nov. '00]. The trees were removed to make way for a new museum entrance, reflecting pools, fountains and a grand staircase.
