HALF MOON BAY

Our Lady of the Pillar Cemetery. On a bare hilltop east of town, the windswept concrete plots of the small cemetery have lovely views of the ocean. 1980 Miramonte Rd.; 650/726-4674.

LAGUNITAS

Samuel P. Taylor State Park. Three markers surrounded by a white picket fence mark the resting place of the park's namesake. Park at Camp Taylor lot on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. and ask for directions; 415/488-9897.

SAN FRANCISCO
