B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center

Sing Out! The Folk Song Magazine,  Winter, 2006

Groundbreaking for the B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center took place June 14 in Indianola, Mississippi. The museum, scheduled to open in 2007, will feature artifacts from King's 60-year career and use his story to further the arts and racial reconciliation in the Mississippi Delta. Learn about the museum at <www.bbkingmuseum.org>.

B.B. celebrated his 80th birthday on September 16 and got an early surprise in August when Gibson Guitar presented him with a 10-foot replica of "Lucille," his trusty guitar. Fans at Citywalk in Los Angeles had covered the guitar with signatures and messages.
