Touching the Holy: Ordinariness, Self-Esteem and Friendship. - book reviews

National Catholic Reporter,  March 26, 1993  by William C. Graham

Touching the Holy: Ordinariness, Self-Esteem and Friendship (Ave Maria, 155 pages, $6.95 paperback), by Robert J. Wicks, is a book that needed to be written.

Too often, prayer and holiness are considered extraordinary, above or beyond most people. True ordinariness is tangible holiness, is Wicks' beginning and conclusion. His is a wonderful book with uplifting and challenging stories. This professor of pastoral counseling is sensitive not just to the Spirit within, but to the vessel in which the Spirit resides.
