Seek Treasures in Small Fields: Everyday Holiness. - book reviews
National Catholic Reporter, March 26, 1993 by William C. Graham
Seek Treasures in Small Fields: Everyday Holiness, by Franciscan Sister Joan Puls (Twenty-third Publications, 149 pages, $7.95 paperback), jumped out of my pile of spirituality books and demanded a paragraph because the title is so wonderful.
Puls has her eyes fixed on the reign of God and knows that it is found first in human company. She advises those who are broken or bruised to stand at the foot of the cross because resurrection is pending. The wait, then, is hopeful.
This book is for lay Christians seeking their own spirituality. It is a call to openness, the attitude and condition that is at the heart of all spirituality and all ecumenism. Reading the book made me want to have a cup of tea with the very sensitive author.
