However, it is also unlikely that their response will take the form of electoral participation-except in the exceptional circumstances of a successful campaign by the Rainbow Coalition-nor should we, perhaps, expect it to. To the contrary, for the indefinite future we can look forward to working people continuing to practice the everyday forms of resistance described in this essay.
We can be thankful that they will continue to do so, for these represent a major obstacle to the vision and program which monopoly capitalism would impose on us all.
