   Let A stand for amaryllis,
   B for betray,
   C for cast,
   and so on until W straddles
   want and wake--
   the advance men for rapture.

   Substitute lilies for amaryllis,
   a kiss for betrayal.
   Gather a Roman cast,
   straddling
   Jewish law. Wake
   to rapture.
