DOVER AND BEYOND: A federal judge's ruling against intelligent design as a scientific subject, citing its religious roots, is expected to influence school board decisions in other states over the teaching of evolution. Even before Judge John E. Jones III ruled in a closely watched trial in Dover, Pennsylvania, the voters there November 8 unseated incumbent school board members (depicted on a billboard) who sought to introduce ID in biology classes.
