Creationism coming unglued

Christian Century,  June 14, 2005

CREATIONISM COMING UNGLUED: In response to protests from creationists, in 2002 the Cobb County Schools in Georgia placed stickers in science books which read: "This textbook contains material on evolution. Evolution is a theory, not a fact, regarding the origin of living things. This material should be approached with an open mind, studied carefully and critically considered." But this past January a federal judge said that stickers are an unconstitutional endorsement of religion.

So the county is removing the stickers one by one, using putty knives and an adhesive remover (Atlanta Journal-Constitution, May 24).
