LocalPeek, a packet-level protocol analyzer and network monitor, is available from the AG Group, Walnut Creek, Calif.

LocalPeek captures all network traffic on LocalTalk networks for the Apple Macintosh. Using the protocol and address filters, a network administrator can localize problem nodes and connections. The realtime statistics provided by LocalPeek can also be used for planning future network configurations. The product provides bargraph displays of network and protocol statistics, automatic association of names for physical addresses, customizable audible alarms that warn of user-specified changes in network traffic and extensive use of color displays. The package also includes protocol decoding for the AppleTalk stack.

LocalPeek is priced at $495.
