Finavera purchases Canadian wind project

Renewable Energy Today,  March 12, 2007  

Finavera Renewables Inc. has signed an agreement to purchase the Three Hills Wind Power Project in Alberta, Canada, from a senior oil and gas producer for roughly $2.9 million.

The project consists of two 75 megawatt phases for a planned installed capacity of 150 megawatts of wind power on over 16,000 acres of land. According to Finavera, the project is expected to provide power to 45,000 homes by 2009.
