Chevron backs biodiesel plant

Renewable Energy Today,  Feb 23, 2007

Next month a new Chevron-backed biodiesel plant will open in Galveston, Texas.

The plant is expected to produce 20 million gallons a year of diesel fuel made from soybean oil and be one of the largest in the nation.

Chevron is among the first major US oil companies to move out of the laboratory with biofuels and into a factory that actually produces them.
