MuniMae Announces Acquisition of Renewable Ventures

MuniMae, a real estate financial services company, recently announced it has acquired Renewable Ventures LLC, a third-party financier and operator of renewable energy generation facilities. Operating as a wholly owned subsidiary of MuniMae, Renewable Ventures will be renamed MMA Renewable Ventures and remain headquartered in San Francisco, CA.

Under the continued leadership of Renewable Ventures CEO Matt Cheney, MMA Renewable Ventures will provide third-party finance solutions for the creation of renewable energy facilities throughout North America. While initially focusing on investments in solar energy, the company said it will also consider opportunities in such areas as wind, biofuels, biomass, biogas and geothermal energy generation.
