Renewable Energy Today,  Feb 17, 2006

Microfield Group, Inc. recently announced that its Christenson Electric, Inc. subsidiary has contracted with PPM Energy to provide an electrical collection system for the Big Horn Wind Farm project near Bickleton, WA.

According to Microfield, the project consists of trenching and laying approximately 25 miles of electrical and fiber optic cable connected to individual turbine transformers.

"This is PPM Energy's largest wind project to date and Christenson Electric is honored to be part of the team," said Microfield president A. Mark Walter. "This project will add to our experience as we continue to aggressively pursue these alternative energy projects and continue to strengthen our business model in the energy sector."

Microfield noted that the Big Horn project will generate about 200 megawatts, and is scheduled to come online by the middle of the year.
