Italian Geothermal Union Honors Work of Ormat

Ormat Technologies, Inc. recently announced that the Italian Geothermal Union (UGI) has honored the company with its Centenary Recognition Award for "outstanding achievements in developing geothermal power generation worldwide."

"This singularly distinguished award is recognition of the effort, collaboration and perseverance by a large number of Ormat colleagues over many years to achieve our vision," said Ormat chairman and chief technology officer Lucien Bronicki.

According to Ormat, the award was presented during a ceremony at the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, Italy celebrating 100 years of geothermal power.
