A natural remedy shows promise in lowering high blood pressure - Vital signs: news and trends for your well-being

Natural Health,  April, 2004

A natural remedy shows promise in lowering high blood pressure, according to a report in the journal Hypertension. Every evening for three weeks, 16 men with high blood pressure took 2.5 milligrams of the hormone melatonin one hour before sleep. On average, their nighttime systolic blood pressure (a measure of blood flow in the arteries when the heart beats) declined by four points.
