Eating chocolate for better memory - Letters to the Editor - Brief Article
Natural Health, April, 2003 by Sue Mann
I'm confused about the difference between chocolate and cocoa. In "The 5 Best Ways to Sharpen Your Memory" (January/February 2003), you recommend choosing dark chocolate made with at least 60 percent cocoa. Does this mean that chocolate with less than 60 percent cocoa doesn't contain the compounds that help memory?

Editor's Note:
We recommend choosing dark chocolate or a premium brand with at least 60 percent cocoa listed on the label because the nutrients are in the cocoa. Chocolate with less cocoa offers fewer of the the memory-boosting nutrients referred to in our article.
