Weil to Open Pediatric Center

Natural Health,  April, 1999  by Katherine Gallia,  Susanne Althoff,  Melissa Nachatelo

PLANS ARE IN MOTION to establish an "alternative" pediatric research center, thanks to a $5 million National Institutes of Health grant given to the Program in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine (founded by Andrew Weil, M.D.) and the University State Memorial Children's Research Center.

Research will focus mainly on alternative therapies for pediatric conditions that don't respond well to conventional treatments, such as cerebral palsy, and recurrent conditions, such as ear infections.
