Donald Hagner provides a useful textbook, Encountering the Book of Hebrews: An Exposition (Baker Academic, $21.99), that guides readers into structure, thought, and origins of Hebrews. Using sidebars, illustrations, suggestions for further reading, lists of key terms, and discussion questions for each section, it instructs without threatening or talking down to the reader.
While designed as a text for "Christian colleges and evangelical seminaries," pastors will find it a useful resource for teaching adult forums. Deserves wide use.
