Get caught recycling

Recycling Today,  June, 2005

Philadelphia residents who are caught recycling by street teams from local radio stations will be rewarded for their efforts as part of an incentive program to increase residential recycling participation.

To be eligible for awards, Philly residents' must sport a "Recycling Pays" decal on their recycling bins or buckets. If a member of the WDAS or Power 99 FM Street Teams spots the decal on a resident's full recycling bin on recycling day, the resident could win concert tickets, movie passes, CDs, t-shirts or even a Caribbean vacation.

The incentive program is part of an integrated community outreach and advertising program that includes recycling rallies and a regional school recycling competition.
