Shakedown that gas - Extra Nutrition - lactose intolerance - Brief Article
Muscle & Fitness/Hers, August-Sept, 2002
If you're lactose-intolerant -- and 30 million to 50 million Americans are -- you could be three times as likely to experience intestinal gas when you drink a milk-based meal-replacement shake, states the Journal of the American Dietetic Association. Researchers suggest eating fruit or whole-wheat crackers with your shake; the added fiber will help slow digestion and reduce gas.
